Tequila Sunrise Jello Shots
A Tequila Sunrise is one of my favorite Summer cocktails. Inspired by that, these Tequila Sunrise Jello Shots are so fun, and they capture all of the yummy orange and cherry flavors you experience with a classic Tequila Sunrise cocktail. We combined orange jello and cherry jello with tequila and fresh orange with maraschino cherries. Such a yummy combination inside one little shot.

Enjoy!
I hope you love these yummy tequila sunrise Jell-O shots, it is such a easy recipe. I love the orange and red ombre gradient effect you get by combining these layers for your Jello shots. They start as distinct layers but as the Jello sets they kind of meld together. These will be a hit at your next party. You can prep them ahead of time by getting cups with lids, storing them in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, then garnishing just before serving. Tequila Sunrise Jello Shot FAQs
Can you make these with orange juice?
Yes! If you prefer the orange juice flavors to the orange jello, and really going for that classic Tequila Sunrise taste, you can make the orange layer with juice and knox unflavored gelatin powder. If you opt for that method, you could make the red layer with grenadine or maraschino cherry juice, just like a Tequila Sunrise, with knox gelatin, as well. Find out how to make Jello shots with knox and juice from our Pina Colada Jello Shots post.
What kind of plastic cups do I need?
For jello shots we use plastic 2 or 3 oz cups (this recipe calls for 3 oz). They’re sometimes called condiment cups, when they come with lids, which is handy for making these ahead of time.
