Substitutions & Tips:

  •  For a less spicy version, use less jalapeño slices, or skip the Tajin chili powder on the rim of the glass. You can up the spice by using our homemade Jalapeno Simple Syrup.
  • Add agave nectar, if you need to, depending on the sweetness of the pineapple juice. You could also opt to use simple syrup instead if you don’t have any agave on hand.
  • For more spice, leave the seeds and rind from the jalapeño peppers, or for a bit less, make sure to remove them before adding to your cocktail mixture.
  • Up the fun with this cocktail by garnishing with a chunk of grilled pineapple.
  • Multiply these ingredients to make a pitcher of margaritas- to make 8 of these margaritas at once, use 2 cups of tequila, 4 ounces triple sec, juice 6 limes, use 32 ounces pineapple juice, and load the pitcher up with about 10 jalapenos, sliced! Remember, remove the rind and seeds if you want everyone to have more control over the spice. You can always garnish with spicier peppers.
