Blood Orange Margarita

Blood Orange Margarita Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ice
  • 2 oz. tequila (you can use blanco tequila, silver tequila, or reposado tequila- whichever is your favorite tequila)
  • 2 oz. fresh squeezed blood orange juice
  • 1 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
  • ½ oz agave nectar (or simple syrup)
  • A lime wedge and margarita salt for the rim
  • Fresh blood oranges (you can do smaller wedges or orange slices) for garnish
  • Fresh lime slices for garnish

For equipment, you’ll need a cocktail shaker and a margarita or rocks glass.

Directions:

Step 1: For the salt rim, run a wedge of lime around the rim of your glass, turn the glass upside down, and dip into the margarita salt.

Step 2: To a cocktail shaker, add 1 cup ice, tequila, blood orange juice, lime juice, and agave.

Step 3: Shake well to combine and chill.

Step 4: Add 1 cup fresh ice to your glass, and pour the contents of the shaker into your glass, strained.

Step 5: Garnish with a fresh blood orange slice and a lime slice, optional.
