We hope you enjoy these watermelon jalapeño margaritas. If you are a fan of spicy drinks they are sure to be right up your alley.

Substitutions & Tips:

  • The jalapeno simple syrup definitely gives a spicy kick to this drink. For less spice, swap the jalapeno simple syrup for a regular simple syrup or agave nectar, and just add the sliced jalapeños to the drink at the end.
  • Tajin is a dried chili powder and lime seasoning. It adds a little savoriness to the cocktail, but you can swap it for regular margarita salt, or even a sugar rim, if you prefer.
  • Make the jalapeno simple syrup by bringing together fresh jalapeno, sugar, and water in a small saucepan. See our full recipe for our homemade jalapeño simple syrup here. You can make a batch to store in a large mason jar and use over several days, or for a crowd.
  • Make a big batch of these cocktails by blending up a few cups watermelon juice at a time to serve several, or combine into a large pitcher.
