We kept this recipe super simple- we used Swiss Miss hot cocoa mix and hot milk for the hot chocolate base and added sweet butterscotch schnapps and spicy Bacardi spiced rum for extra warmth. You can use any hot chocolate recipe you like if you don’t want to use instant hot chocolate mix. Or, if you have another favorite hot cocoa mix, feel free to use that instead.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups prepared hot chocolate
1 ounce butterscotch schnapps
1 ounce spiced rum
Whipped cream
Butterscotch sauce

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare your favorite hot chocolate in your coffee mug.

Step 2: Add the shot of butterscotch schnapps and spiced rum to the prepared hot chocolate. Stir.

Step 3: Top with whipped cream and butterscotch syrup.
