What Is Harry Potter Butterbeer?
Butterbeer is a popular beverage in the magical world of Harry Potter. It is described as a drink with a taste reminiscent of butterscotch, with a slight bit of rum included. It is a favorite among Hogwarts students and the wizarding community, they often buy it when visiting the Three Broomsticks Inn in Hogsmeade. The exact recipe for Butterbeer is a closely guarded secret, but we’re going to do our best to recreate it, in a boozier version, for adults.
That starts with the butterscotch elements- butterscotch is made from a mixture of brown sugar and butter, very similar to caramel, and of course you can’t have butterbeer without the cream soda base. We added some creaminess with the cream, and used whipped cream vodka to up the booze factor in our recipe.
