Green Apple Fireball Jello Shots

I’m so excited to share these green apple fireball jello shots. We have a few fireball whiskey jello shots on our website now, but I love the green apple flavor in this version! These are perfect for your Halloween party, St. Patrick’s Day party, Mardi Gras, or anytime you need a green colored or green apple treat.

Why we love this recipe-

• These are a party favorite. You can’t go wrong with the green apple flavor of jello.
• We used simple ingredients. My favorite jello shots are the ones made with jello brand mixture, the texture is always so perfect.
• Fireball Whisky adds such a fun spice to jell-o shots, it is one of our favorite liquors to use to make them.

Green Apple Fireball Jello Shots Ingredients

• 1 (3.9 oz.) box of green apple jello mix
• 3 cups water, divided
• 1 cup Fireball cinnamon whisky
• 16 Trolli Green Apple O’s (two small bags)
• 16 (2 oz.) plastic cups

Directions

Step 1: Place the plastic cups on a shallow baking sheet or cookie sheet that will fit in your refrigerator. Set aside.

Step 2: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of cold water to a boil. Remove from the heat and whisk in jello mix, stirring until dissolved.

Step 3: Add 1 cup of Fireball, and 1 cup of water, and stir to combine. Let the jello mixture cool just slightly before adding to the plastic cups.

Step 4: Pour evenly into the plastic cups, and move to the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours.

Step 5: Before serving, top each shot with Trolli Green Apple O gummy rings. Enjoy!

TIP: Keep these refrigerated until just before serving, if you allow them to come back up to room temperature, your jello may melt. For an easy way to keep them cool, place onto a tray of ice, or pop the lids on them and put them into a cooler with ice- this is also perfect for parties!

Other Fireball jello shot variations-

Cherry Fireball Jello Shots– these use cherry jello and are topped with fun maraschino cherries.

Apple Cider Jello Shots with Fireball – we used apple cider and plain gelatin to make this version, and topped them with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Substitutions-

• You could easily substitute the Fireball cinnamon whiskey in this jello shot recipe for green apple vodka! These would also be delicious with some Dekuyper Sour Apple Pucker schnapps. You could do that half and half with the green apple vodka. These wouldn’t have the cinnamon flavor, you could simply call them green apple jello shots or green apple vodka jello shots. Feel free to use whatever is your favorite liquor or alcohol of choice.
• For different jello flavors, see our variations above! Essentially, anything that would go great with cinnamon you could use to make Fireball jello shots.
• Can’t find Trolli O’s? You could also use gummy jolly rancher candies!

Fireball Jello Shot FAQs-

How much alcohol is in each shot?

This recipe makes 16 jello shots, and we use one cup of Fireball, so there is about 1/2 an ounce of Fireball in each jello shot.

Can I add more liquor to these jello shots?

You can experiment and try. I find that getting the jello shots to set with the 1 cup of liquor is sometimes a challenge, so with more they may not set completely.

Where can I find jello shot cups?

You can get the 2 ounce cups that we used here at your local grocery store near the other plastic cups and plates, or you can order a giant pack of them from Amazon!
