I’m so excited to share this Eggnog Pudding Shots recipe! If you are a fan of eggnog, you will love these little mini boozy dessert cups this holiday season. Eggnog is the quintessential holiday drink, and these are such a fun twist to get you in the holiday spirit.

Eggnog Pudding Shots Recipe

Why we love this recipe-

We just LOVE pudding shots. Jello shots are fun, but these pudding recipes are so delicious, little desserts in a cup! The pudding consistency is perfect, and it is such a simple recipe that is sure to wow your guests at all of your holiday celebrations.

Eggnog Pudding Shots Ingredients:

  • 1 (3 oz.) box of vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 ½ cups eggnog – you can use store-bought eggnog or your own homemade eggnog recipe
  • ¼ tsp. Cinnamon, plus extra for topping
  • ¼ tsp. Nutmeg
  • ½ cup spiced rum or bourbon
  • 8 ounces of thawed cool whip whipped topping
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • 24 plastic pudding shot cups (also called condiment cups)

Directions:

Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix, eggnog, cinnamon, and nutmeg, until well combined.

Step 2: Whisk in rum or bourbon.

Step 3: Add 8 ounces of cool whip and whisk to incorporate.

Step 4: Divide the pudding mixture evenly between 2 ounce plastic cups.

Step 5: Move to the refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours.

Step 6: Before serving, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Substitutions:

  • For the pudding mix, you could use any flavor you prefer. White chocolate or cheesecake pudding mixes would both be delicious!
  • You can use any liquor you like, we recommend rum or bourbon, but I’ve also heard Fireball whiskey goes great with eggnog, too!
  • Use what spices you like, we usually do cinnamon and a sprinkle of nutmeg, but you can customize these to your taste.

Tips:

  • Use a medium cookie scoop to easily pour the pudding shots into the plastic cups.
  • We buy these plastic cups from Walmart, and they are also available on Amazon.
  • Store these in the refrigerator until ready to serve, and then top with your whipped cream and sprinkle of cinnamon, though, you’ll want to serve these within 24 hours of making them.
  • For easy transporting all of these little cups to the refrigerator, place them on a baking sheet first.
