This Strawberry Mojito recipe is the most perfect refreshing cocktail for a hot Summer day. We put a fun twist on our traditional mojitos by muddling together lime juice, sugar, and strawberries. It adds a nice mild strawberry flavor to the mojitos, and makes for one of our favorite Summer cocktails, full of simple ingredients.

Strawberry Mojito Ingredients:

  • ½ cup fresh strawberries
  • 2 oz. light rum
  • 2 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 2 tsp. granulated sugar
  • 2 oz. club soda
  • 2 cups of ice
  • 2 fresh mint leaves
  • Fresh lime wheels or wedges, a fresh sprig of mint, and fresh strawberries or strawberry slices for garnish.

You’ll need a few cocktail tools to make this- a cocktail shaker, wooden spoon or muddler, a bar spoon, and a citrus juicer will all come in handy.

Directions:

Step 1: To a cocktail shaker, add ½ cup fresh strawberries, 2 mint leaves, lime juice, and sugar.

Step 2: Use the back of a wooden spoon or a muddler to muddle the strawberries and mint into the lime juice and sugar. You want to release the strawberry juices and mint oil.

Step 3: Add ice and white rum.

Step 4: Shake to combine and chill.

Step 5: Pour into your glass, and top with club soda.

Step 6: Garnish with a mint sprig, fresh lime slices, or a fresh strawberry.

FAQs & Tips:

  • There’s no need for simple syrup in this drink, since we muddle the strawberries with sugar, but if you want extra sweetness it is an easy addition.
  • If you prefer to skip the mint leaves and strawberries in your drink you can certainly strain your cocktail, but you will lose a bit of flavor.
  • Don’t have club soda? You can use sparkling water, soda water, or even a lemon-lime soda for the bubbles.
  • You can multiply this recipe to make a pitcher of Strawberry Mojitos.
  • Any light rum, silver rum, or white rum is perfect for this drink, but you could also use flavored rum. Strawberry or lime would be delicious.
