This Grinch cocktail is perfect for the holiday season, and is one of our favorite green cocktails we’ve made. There are several ways to get the green color in your cocktail, but here is ours. Make these up for your holiday party, they make such a fun and festive Christmas cocktail. We even topped the drink with a maraschino cherry, which we felt like was giving Grinch’s heart vibes for this drink.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this Grinch cocktail recipe-

Grinch Cocktail Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz. Midori melon liqueur
1 oz. vodka
4-5 oz. lemon lime soda
Ice
3 tbsp. light corn syrup
3 tbsp, red sanding sugar
A maraschino cherry for garnish

Substitutions:

Soda: Ginger ale would also be great, but any clear soda you have on hand.

Garnish: A candy cane would also make a fun and festive garnish.

Liqueur: You could swap the Midori in this recipe for Sour Apple Pucker. A totally different flavor with a similar bright green color.

Liquor: You can use any clear liquor you prefer- white rum or coconut rum would be a great option if you have that on hand!

Grinch Cocktail Directions:

Step 1: To rim the glass, start by adding the corn syrup to a shallow saucer.

Step 2: To another saucer, add the sanding sugar.

Step 3: Dip the rim of your glass into the corn syrup, followed by the sugar.

Step 4: For the drink, to a cocktail shaker, add ice, Midori and vodka. Shake well until combined and chilled.

Step 5: Pour into your prepared glass, and then top with lemon-lime soda.

Step 6: Top with a maraschino cherry.

FAQs

Do I have to have a cocktail shaker?

No way! You can always just combine the ingredients in your cocktail glass, and stir. Just wait until the end, or stir gently, to add any fizzy ingredients.
