Christmas Tree Cupcakes
I have the cutest little holiday cupcakes for you today! I made these Christmas Tree Cupcakes from scratch, and I dressed them up with some festive sprinkles, and I just think they are adorable, and perfect for your holiday dessert table.

Here’s what you’ll need-
For the cupcakes-
- 1 ⅓ cup flour
- 1 ¼ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- ½ cup sour cream
- Red cupcake liners
For the frosting-
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- ½ cup butter, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 2-3 drops green gel food coloring
- Christmas tree sprinkle mix
- Christmas nonpareils

Here’s how to make these Christmas Tree Cupcakes-

- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar for 1-2 minutes, until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream, mix again until just combined.

- Spoon the cupcake batter into the cupcake liners, fill them a little over ½ way full.
- Bake 17-18 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and food coloring.
- Slowly add powdered sugar, mixing well to combine.
- Mix in additional green food coloring, if needed to reach desired shade of green frosting.
- Once the cupcakes are cooled, frost them generously creating your tree shape as you go up.
- Top with a star sprinkle and additional red, white, and green nonpareils.
