This may be one of our favorite jello shots we’ve ever made. You just can’t beat these Strawberries and Cream Jello Shots. While we had a lot of options for making the cream part of these, we opted to keep things really easy and use vanilla pudding which I really think just made these so delicious! Let’s get into how to make these yummy jello shot treats.

You’ll need a few ingredients to make these, but they’re not the most complicated jello shot we’ve made, that award goes to our Firecracker Jello Shots. These are so worth it. Here’s what you’ll need-

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. box strawberry Jello mix
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup vodka
  • (2) 3 oz. packages instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup vodka
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Fresh strawberries for topping

What type of vodka should I use?

We used Svedka regular vodka for these, I feel like the jello and the pudding give us plenty of flavor and you don’t notice the vodka a whole lot, just due to how yummy these are. However, you could absolutely get creative and use strawberry vodka for the strawberry portion or whipped cream vodka for the pudding layer we’ll make. There are so many options for you, or if you just have regular vodka on hand, that works perfect, too.

How to make strawberries and cream jello shots with pudding-

This process is a little different than our usual jello shot making, so let’s get into how to put together these layered pudding and jello shots.

IMPORTANT: For this recipe, we’re using 3 oz. plastic cups.

  • Start by boiling the 2 cups of water.
  • Whisk in strawberry jello, stirring until dissolved.
  • Add 1 cup of cold water, and 1 cup of vodka.
  • Pour evenly into the cups, about ⅔ full.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours. This is important! To create your layers, you want to completely chill the strawberry layer before continuing.
  • Once Jello is set, in a large mixing bowl combine vanilla pudding mix, 2 cups milk, and 1 cup vodka.
  • Note: This is less liquid than is called for on the box of pudding mix, because we want it to be a bit more solid.
  • Whisk for 2 minutes, then pour evenly on top of the strawberry jello in the cups. No need to let this layer set, it is ready to go!
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Before serving, top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
  • Enjoy!
