Here’s what you’ll need to make them-

  • 1 (6 oz) package strawberry jell-o
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • 12 Strawberries, stems removed

You’ll also need 12 plastic shot glasses or cups, the ones we used are 2 ounces, sometimes called condiment cups. You can find them at your local grocery store, or on Amazon.

Here’s how to make these fun jell-o shots-

Step 1: Place your shot cups onto a cookie sheet or other shallow baking pan that can fit in the refrigerator. Set aside.

Step 2: In a medium sauce pan, boil 2 cups of water, and remove from the heat.

Step 3: To the hot water, add strawberry jello and whisk until dissolved.

Step 4: Add 1 cup of vodka and 1 cup of cold water. Stir to combine.

Step 5: Pour the jello evenly into your plastic cups.

Step 6: Allow the jello shots to chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours, until the jello has set.

Step 7: Before serving, top with a layer of whipped cream, followed by an upside down strawberry, and a dot of whipped cream on top of the tip of each strawberry.

These santa hat holiday jello shots are so much fun this time of year.

Substitutions-

  • Jello- You can use any flavor of red jello mix for these!
  • Liquor- Any liquor you like can be used to make these shots. Peppermint schnapps would also add a fun twist to this Christmas jello shot recipe. We love using whipped cream vodka or vanilla vodka, too.
  • Whipped Cream- You can use canned whipped cream, or a container of cool whip, placed into a piping bag with a star tip.
