I’m so excited to share today’s recipe. This poison apple Halloween cocktail was so fun to make and so pretty! It is perfect for your Halloween party. This poison apple cocktail includes apple cider, cranberry juice, spiced rum, and a secret ingredient that makes this drink shimmer.

Here’s everything you need to make this easy cocktail-

Poison Apple Cocktail Ingredients

• 2 oz. Spiced Rum
• 2 oz. Apple Cider
• 1 oz. Cranberry juice
• ⅛ tsp. Gold edible luster dust
• Optional, fresh apple slices for garnish

All you need equipment-wise to make this Halloween drink is a cocktail shaker and your favorite cocktail glass. You could serve this in a martini glass, a stemless wine glass, or whatever you prefer! The spookier the better, if you have any Halloween themed cocktail glasses.

How to Make a Poisoned Apple Cocktail

Step 1: To your cocktail shaker, add ice, rum, apple cider, cranberry juice, and gold luster dust!

Step 2: Shake to combine and chill.

Step 3: Pour, strained, into your favorite cocktail glass.

Step 4: Optional, garnish with a fresh apple slice.

Substitutions

Liquor- you could sup the spiced rum in this drink for another liquor you prefer. Crown Royal apple or apple vodka would be delicious, and so would a splash of sour apple pucker.

Juice- Instead of apple cider, try apple juice. Pomegranate juice would also be delicious.

Poison Apple Mocktails- Make this without liquor at all for a fun Halloween mocktail.

Garnishes- Another fun garnish would be cinnamon sticks. Caramel on the rim of the glass would also be delicious!

What is luster dust?

Luster dust is basically edible glitter. It is beautiful on cakes, and when you put it into liquid it makes for a beautiful shimmery drink. I love adding it to all of my Halloween cocktails.

Can I make this drink green?

Yes! Your best bet would be to skip the red cranberry juice, use apple juice, sour apple pucker, and maybe even some green food coloring. A splash of Sprite would also dilute the bit of color coming from the apple juice.
