These Irish Flag Jello Shots are so fun and festive for your St. Patrick’s Day Party. I love how cute they turned out, and the orange and green colors of the flag of Ireland are just perfect! They’re great for an Irish theme party or St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Irish Flag Jello Shots Ingredients:

  • 1 (3 oz.) package of Lime jello
  • 1 (12 oz.) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (3 oz.) package of orange jello
  • 1 envelope of Knox unflavored gelatin
  • 4 cups of water, divided
  • 1 ½ cups of vodka, divided
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Green and orange sprinkles for topping
  • 3 oz. plastic shot glasses

Directions:

Step 1: For the bottom layer first, in a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.

Step 2: Remove from the heat and whisk in green jello powder, stirring until dissolved. Add ½ cup of cold water and ½ cup vodka, and stir to combine.

Step 3: Pour the green gelatin mixture evenly between your 3 oz. cups, filling them about ⅓ full.

Step 4: Move the cups to the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours.

Step 5: For the next layer, in your saucepan, whisk together 1 cup water and 1 packet of unflavored gelatin. Heat to barely a boil. Remove from the heat and pour in sweetened condensed milk and vodka, stir to combine. Allow the mixture to cool completely.

Step 6: Once the mixture has cooled, add to your jello shot cups, on top of the green layer, filling the cups about ⅔ of the way full, leaving equal room for the last layer. You can discard any remaining white gelatin mixture.

Step 7: Move the cups back to the refrigerator to chill for another 2 hours.

Step 8: For the final layer, the orange layer, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Remove from the heat and whisk in orange jello, until dissolved. Add ½ cup cold water and ½ cup vodka, and stir to combine. Allow the orange gelatin mixture to cool completely.

Step 9: Once jello is cool, fill your shot cups the remainder of the way with orange jello.

Step 10: Move the cups back to the refrigerator to chill for 2 more hours, or until ready to serve.

Step 11: Before serving, top with whipped cream and orange and green sprinkles.

Substitutions & Tips:

  • You can use any flavor of vodka for these shots. Vanilla vodka, or whipped cream vodka would both be delicious.
  • You could also try making these with Jameson Irish Whiskey! It may alter the colors some, but it shouldn’t be too obvious.
  • Then, try adding a splash of Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur to the white layer.

Fun and festive Irish Flag Jello Shots for St. Patrick's Day (or another Irish themed party!)

Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz.) package of Lime jello

    7. For the last layer, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Remove from the heat and whisk in orange jello, until dissolved. Add ½ cup cold water and ½ cup vodka, and stir to combine. Allow the orange jello mixture to cool completely.
    8. Once jello is cool, fill your shot cups the remainder of the way with orange jello.
    9. Move the cups back to the refrigerator to chill for 2 more hours, or until ready to serve.
    10. Before serving, top with whipped cream and orange and green sprinkles.
