Directions:

Step 1: Place your plastic cups onto a shallow baking sheet and set aside.

Step 2: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from the heat, and whisk in both packages of lime jello into the hot water, stirring until jello is dissolved.

Step 3: Add in 1 cup cold water and 1 cup of vodka, and stir to combine.

Step 4: Add a shallow layer of lime jello to your jello cups, filling about ¼ full.

Step 5: Cover the remaining lime jello with plastic wrap and set aside for later. Move the cups to the refrigerator to chill for 1 hour.

Step 9: Cover the remaining grape jello mixture with plastic wrap and set aside. Move the cups back to the refrigerator to chill for 1 hour.

Step 10: After that layer has set, grab your lime jello from earlier, and add another layer, filling the cups about ¾ full. Discard any lime jello that is left.

Step 11: Move the cups to the refrigerator, and chill for 1 hour.

Step 12; Once that layer has set, take your cups and add another layer of grape, filling the cups the rest of the way.

Hocus Pocus Jello Shot Tips

  • We went for 4 layers with these. You can make your life easier by doing 3 layers, or even just two!
  • Whipped cream melts super quickly. Add that right before serving, or you can use cool whip, and pipe it onto the shots like frosting.
  • Make these ahead of time, by buying cups that include lids, placing the lid on, and storing them in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours ahead of time.
  • You can substitute regular vodka for any flavored vodka you like. Pumpkin pie vodka would be a great way to bring some Fall flavor to these.
  • You can purchase these 2 oz. plastic shot glasses at your local grocery store, or on Amazon.
