Easter Jello Shots
I’m so excited to share these adorable Easter jello shots today! We used different jello flavors to make different color layers, then topped them with whipped cream and pastel Easter M&Ms. They’re so fun for your Easter celebration.
Why we love these jello shots-
- The bright colors are so much fun, we use yellow jello, blue jello, and pink jello to make these really remind us of our favorite pastel Easter colors.
- They’re so perfect for an adult Easter party or Easter egg hunt.
Easter Jello Shots Ingredients:
- 2 (3 oz.) packages of pineapple jello
- 1 (3.94 oz.) package of Starburst Blue Raspberry jello
- 1 (3.94 oz.) package of Starburst Pink Strawberry jello
- 8 cups water, divided
- 2 cups vanilla vodka, divided
- Whipped cream for topping
- Easter M&Ms (or other Easter candy) for topping
- 20 (3 oz.) plastic cups
Directions:
Step 1: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove the boiling water from the heat, and whisk in two packages of pineapple jello. Stir in 1 cup of cold water and 1 cup of vodka.
Step 2: Pour evenly into the plastic cups, filling ⅓ full to make the first layer.
Step 3: Move the cups to the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours, or until jello is set.
Step 4: Meanwhile, bring 1 ½ cups of water to a boil. Remove from the heat and whisk in blue raspberry jello. Stir in 1 cup of water and ½ cup vodka. Allow the blue jello to cool completely before you pour the next layer.
Step 5: Once first layer has set and blue jello has cooled, divide the blue jello among the cups, filling to the cups about ⅔ full to make the second layer.
Step 6: Move the cups back to the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours, or until 2nd layer has set.
Step 7: Meanwhile, bring another 1 ½ cups of water to a boil. Remove from the heat and whisk in Pink Starburst jello. Stir in 1 cup of water and ½ cup vodka. Allow the pink jello to cool completely.
Step 8 : Once the 2nd layer has set, divide the pink jello among the cups to fill the rest of the way.
Step 9: Move the cups back to the refrigerator to chill, until the last layer has set, about 2 hours. Before serving, top with whipped cream and your Easter candy.
Easter Jell-o Shots Tips & Tricks:
- Pour the finished jello into a large measuring cup with a spout for easy pouring.
- Use disposable plastic shot glasses for easy clean up!
- Get creative with your jello flavors- purple jello (grape jello) would also be a lot of fun.
- These take a bit to put together, but they’re so easy with simple ingredients.
- You can use any vodka flavor you like. Plain vodka will work great if that’s what you have on hand. We also really like whipped cream vodka.
- If you can find marshmallow flavored vodka, you could substitute that and top each shot with a marshmallow peep to make Peeps Jello Shots! You could also make your own Peeps Infused Vodka!
- Whipped cream is not very stable and can melt easily. A great alternative is to use a piping bag/ pastry bag and pipe cool whip onto the shots with a star tip.
